The molding can be painted or stained using a GEL based stain and can be easily installed using normal woodworking tools. However, it should not be used for sharp bullnose type corners. It has the ability to flex to fit as small as a 6" radius, making it suitable for a 12" wide circle. Additionally, it will flex to fit a minimum radius of 6" inches, making it ideal for curved stairs, columns, and walls.
